High Performance Triathlon (HPT) Northside
High Performance Triathlon (HPT) Northside is a setup whereby triathletes train under the guidance of Symon Astley and Andy Kean. They train a wide range of people, with Symon focusing on the junior athletes, including helping look after Emma Jeffcoat, whilst Andy focuses on the age group athletes competing in various distances, mainly Ironman and 70.3. We sponsor this group by looking after their cycling needs - bikes, parts and accessories, and mechanical servicing of their bikes.
The mountain biking community is forever growing. To nourish this growth, we have established a small development group focusing on young mountain bikers in downhill and enduro style riding and racing. This is an initiative set up by one of our fulltime staff members, Josh Muncke, and has been running since early 2015. The group has grown to over 20 riders and focuses on learning mechanics and doing race training, with both race day support and sponsorship from Avantiplus Narrabeen. It is free of charge to all members and is an initiative that is supporting our fantastic community of riders around the northern beaches.Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Warringah Triathlon Club
Warringah Triathlon Club is our local triathlon club. They have consistently been the State Club Champions and are one of the largest clubs in Australia. Avantiplus Narrabeen have been supporting the club and sponsoring their races for a long time now, offering our support to members of the club.
NSW Bike Week
Bike Week is hosted by Transport for NSW and the Roads and Maritime Services, and supported by the Northern Beaches Council. During this week, the local council encourages residents to get active and choose a transport option that benefits both the environment and themselves. At Avantiplus Narrabeen we have supported NSW Bike Week for the last two years by setting up a workshop offering free bike checks on the Narrabeen Lake bicycle path.
We regularly offer school children the chance to join us for a week at a time to get some work experience. We get them helping out around the store, and they get some sales experience whilst learning basic mechanical skills, with which they can maintain their own bicycles, as well as those of family and friends.
