COMPACT POWERFUL ASSISTANCE

The Voltage eRIDE is the latest addition to Scott’s lightweight range of eMBT’s. Designed as the mountain biker’s ebike, the Voltage eRIDE is a lightweight, agile trail bike with extra power, utilising the celebrated TQ HPR50 drive unit for an exceptional riding experience.

DRIVE UNIT

MOTOR

The TQ HPR50 delivers 50Nm of maximum torque. The small size of HPR50 allows for a spindle length of 135mm, resulting in a minimal Q-factor (the distance between the outside of one crank and the outside of the opposite crank) and providing a riding position akin to a non-electric bike.

BATTERY

The downtube of the Voltage houses TQ’s 360Wh battery, which can be further supplemented with TQ’s 160Wh externally mounted range extender.

RANGE EXTENDER

Due to the placement of the bolts on the seat tube, the Voltage utilises a unique mounting plate that pairs with a quick-release adapter for mounting either a TQ Range Extender or a second bottle cage. This mounting plate also features a channel for the newly developed Voltage Range Extender cable, keeping things nice and tidy.

CHARGE LESS, RIDE MORE

For Voltage models featuring SRAM AXS drivetrains, the derailleur battery is hard-wired into the main battery, meaning that as long as your bike has power, you’ll continue being able to shift smoothly.

CONTROL IS POWER

The system can be controlled via a minimalistic handlebar remote wired to the integrated top tube display. The modes are easy to switch through, and, thanks to the ergonomic placement on the handlebar, can be easily controlled whilst riding, as well as when using Walk Mode. It’s easy to connect, customize and control your TQ-powered e-bike with the TQ E-Bike app. With the app, you can tune your drive unit to suit your preferences to either save battery life or maximise power output. You can alter the pedal response either for a faster motor uptake response, or to slow it down for a more natural feeling. Lastly you can customize the display, altering the number of screens available, turn on and off control sounds etc. No buzz, no additional noise – simple essential information for when you and your E-Bike are on the go so you can ride more and enjoy the moment.

RANGE EXTENDER & WATER BOTTLES

The Voltage features a 360Wh internal battery which can be further complemented by a 160Wh external range extender. Easily fixed to the seat tube water bottle mount withunique SCOTT designed quick release mount, the range extender features a slim design and low weight, meaning minimal impact on the bike’s handling. Thanks to TQ’s electronic expertise, the HPR50 battery, when combined with the range extender, guarantees maximum performance and range. Unlike most full suspension E-Bikes, on the Voltage there is no need to choose between the range extender or a water bottle - between longer rides and staying hydrated. Thanks to the integrated shock there is space for both an external battery and water. An optional sliding mount system makes for an easy switch between the rear water bottle and the range extender, allowing either to easily be transported when out on longer rides. The system can be charged with the range extender in place, prioritizing the bike battery’s charge first so you’ll never be caught short when heading out to ride. The charge time is fast too, with the main battery capable of reaching 80% in two hours of charging.

THE MOUNTAIN BIKER’S E-BIKE

FRAME

SCOTT MTB’s have always focused on stiffness to weight ratios – resulting in a bike that is strong but that won’t weigh you down when you’re out in the mountains. For the new Voltage eRIDE, this would be no different. Scott applied their stiffness and lightweight zone principle to The Voltage features a 55mm chainline, which allows us to optimize tyre clearance while not sacrificing rear end stiffness. All bikes in the range benefit from the same levels of integration, trail-crushing geometry, and incredible suspension performance. The HMF carbon construction of the Voltage. Through strategic reinforcement of certain areas in the stiffness zone, we can really maximize weight savings elsewhere.

The Voltage features a 55mm chainline, which allows Scott to optimize tyre clearance while not sacrificing rear end stiffness. All bikes in the range benefit from the same levels of integration, trail-crushing geometry, and incredible suspension performance.

The design of this frame has also allowed us to maximise dropper postinsertion, allowing room for 140mm posts on size small, 180mm on size medium and large, and 210mm on size.

GEOMETRY

The Voltage eRIDE features 155mm of rear suspension travel paired with a 160mm fork up front. Rolling on 29” wheels, the Voltage is an aggressive, yet well-balanced modern trail eMTB. Long, low and slack, Scott has developed this lightweight eMTB to tackle whatever the trail may throw at you, and then pedal back to the top for round two... or three. As is the case with many of our mountain bikes, head angle is adjustable. The bike comes with headset cups that allow you to choose between a 64 or 65 degree head angle. All models are also shipped with additional, standard 64.5 degree headset cups. Scott also applied some principles from their acclaimed Genius platform, resulting in a trail bike that excels when things get rough, with the added benefit of assistance to keep you out there partying on the trails for longer than ever before. Stable, aggressive, silent and powerful, the Voltage eRIDE will augment your experience on the trails.

CABLE MANAGEMENT

It’s no secret that there is a lot going on inside the modern eMTB, with dropper cable, drive unit and battery cables, and a rear shock discreetly tucked away inside the frame. We have developed a dropper cable channeling device and a shock sleeve that ensure these components are well placed, easy to manage and kept safely away from any moving parts. These neat solutions also result in clean and unobstructed accessto the rear shock settings when working on the bike.

INTEGRATED SUSPENSION TECHNOLOGY

The new Voltage applies our patented Integrated Suspension Technology. This allows us to optimise the bike’s suspension performance by engineering frames with a lower center of gravity, resulting in better handling and a more stable, confidence-inspiring ride for the end user. Additionally, the frame’s construction is stiffer around the BB, which reduces unnecessary movements laterally to the direction of the shock’s travel. It goes without saying that the shock is also protected from debris and the elements, two of the main enemies when it comes to shock performance. And the cherry on top? Scott also think these design characteristics package together to make for a fantastic looking bike.

LINKAGE DESIGN

The Voltage’s supple and supportive suspension characteristics can be attributed to a rangeof meticulously engineered factors. Firstly, the linkage is comprised of a stiff and lightweight one-piece inner piece that is driven by the externally visible, straight-splined outer linkage pieces.

A shock extender piece connects the inner linkage to the shock’s trunnion mount, therefore ideally positioning the shock to allow room for the motor while achieving 155mm of dreamy support. Bearings have been used for all pivot points that rotate more than 4.5 degrees, contributing to excellent small bump sensitivity.

A clever, directionally positioned washer stopper at the connecting points absorb any play that can develop through this kind of interface. This design ensures even force is being driven through the linkage as it actuates the shock’s stroke.

SHOCK ACCESS

Shock accessibility and user-friendliness was paramount when designing the Voltage. The downtube door that is featured on all Voltage models is super simple to remove, taking just a quarter turn of the dial to remove the cover. The large opening makes things like shock adjustments and cable routing much easier. Additionally, removing the shock is a piece of cake. A window on the drive-side of the seat tube gives direct access to the shock bolt.

SYNCROS FINISHING KIT

The Voltage features a Hixon Cockpit from Syncros in either one-piece carbon integrated cockpit, or a more traditional two-piece bar and stem. Both of these have two options for rise depending on frame size (15mm and 25mm) and two stem lengths. Multiple options exist for computer mounts, lights, etc.

Swapping head angle is easy. Just take off your cockpit, remove headset cups, rotate them each 180 degrees, and reassemble. No need to cut any cables or bleed any brakes. Cable integration is not exclusive to the one-piece cockpits though, with the possibility to mount on the stem cap but also out the front of the bar using two threaded inserts. All cables flow neatly under the bar and into the headset leading to a clean, clutter free cockpit.
