We're looking to add a new mechanic to our fantastic My Ride Geelong team.
This is an exciting new opportunity to work with a great team and have a network of other stores behind you for support. A critical member of the team, the Workshop Mechanic is responsible for consistently performing high quality bicycle repairs and delivering an extraordinarily high level of customer service. You should have experience in the bike industry, be eager and enthusiastic.
As a Workshop Mechanic you'll receive regular training with industry leading companies including SRAM, Bosch and Scott to keep you on top of the latest new technology and developments in the bike industry. We also offer our staff great perks including a generous staff discount policy and more.
Key Responsibilities/Skills:
- Experience with all facets of servicing, building and repairing bicycles is a must
- Ability to maintain shop cleanliness and tidiness
- Retail/customer service experience
- Have an eye for detail
- Take pride in your work
- An absolute passion to be successful and lift the performance of the team
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Be organised with the ability to efficiently time manage and prioritise tasks
- Exceptional verbal communication skills
- Understanding of the importance of accountability
- Exceptional negotiation and selling skills

About the role:
We are currently looking for a customer-focused sales assistant to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis, with Saturday availability essential. In this role, you will focus on guiding customers on the purchases of bikes, equipment, and apparel throughout the store. You will also be a play a key role in maintaining inventory levels, contributing to visual merchandising efforts, and ensuring the overall presentation of the store.
Key responsibilities include:
- Guiding consumer journey through a wide range of bikes, including road, mountain, and electric models
- Providing professional & personalized service to customers
- Managing stock levels, ensuring store cleanliness & assisting with visual merchandising
